Off Season Opportunities:
While we encourage kids to explore other sports and we want to make sure kids do not get burned out on wrestling, if your child is still interested in wresting during the spring, summer, and fall, we will post info on these opportunities here.
- Freestyle / Greco - Roman Season: Coach Gochberg is leading our Freestyle Greco season. Freestyle and Greco are slightly different variations of how we wrestle during the normal (folkstyle) season. Registration is technically over, but if you are interested, please contact Coach Gochberg and he will see what he can do to squeeze you in.
- Middle School Duals: The Region is looking for middle school wrestlers to wrestle in Illinois in a national competition
- Vandegrift HS summer camp: Coach Coooper (Vandegrift's head wrestling coach) will be hosting a summer folkstyle wrestling camp.
- 3f Fitness: 3f is a private corporation not formally tied to the club run by will McKinney. Some of the wrestlers in our club have used Will for private lessons to augment our training.
Other Summer Camps:
- Oklahoma City University’s Texas Training Camps hosted by the New Braunfels Wrestling Club in June. Contact Coach Hildner if interested.
Freestyle Greco Info - We have created a new page exclusively for the Freestyle Greco Season (March-May). Please go to Viperwrestling.org/F-G_Info. The rest of the site is dedicated to General club info and Folkstyle season (Nov-Feb).
